Session Title: The Revolution won’t be televised: How the FinTech movement is empowering the consumer and changing the way we bank.
Digital disruptions in FinTech are ubiquitous. From payment platforms to wealth and asset management, from peer to peer lending to crowd-funding, a new generation of start-ups is taking aim at the financial industry – carving away territory traditionally served by banks and overhauling the customer experience from the ground up.
Unencumbered by legacy technologies and structures of traditional banks, new FinTech disruptors are developing digital financial experiences that provide consumers with greater transparency. At the backbone of this disruption is consumer empowerment:   enhanced access and compelling digital experiences for the individual consumer.
Doni co-founder, Ronald Verbrugge, will engage the audience with a provocative analysis of the social and economic forces shaping the evolution of industry based on his more than 25 years of hands-on FinTech expertise and innovation.  Verbrugge will discuss:
  • How the combination of social interaction and technological advancement is shifting the financial balance of power back to the individual: what are consumers looking for from new financial players?
  • New FinTech-driven solutions that are putting consumers at the center of managing their financial health by leveraging the power of the crowd, increased financial transparency, and true ownership of one’s own personal data.
  • How consumers can and should harness the proliferation of these disruptors.
  • How companies like Doni and others can succeed and thrive in this complex and rapidly changing environment.
Suggested audience: Entrepreneurs, developers, FinTech enthusiasts, investors.
Doni, Inc. is a goal achievement platform where users articulate their goals, save together, give to others and take back control of their personal data.
