Session Title: Oxfam’s Approach to Tackling the Global Refugee Crisis

Imagine you’ve been forced to flee from your home due to violence or disaster. What would you take with you? What choices would you make? Engage with the powerful themes of choice, loss and uncertainty – and get an inside understanding of how Oxfam works.

We’re thrilled to open our doors to Oxfam’s US headquarters! Join us to learn about our innovative approach to imagining a world free of poverty – and the people who make it possible. The NewCo session will include an interactive presentation on Oxfam's multifaceted approach to the global refugee crisis, taking festival goers on a journey from our on-the-ground work in Syria, Lebanon, Jordan and Iraq, to policy and advocacy interventions, to innovative ways we are engaging the US public – bringing awareness and help to people who need it most.

Prepare to come away inspired and motivated to change the world. Fair trade coffee and refreshments will be provided.

Getting to us: We are located at 226 Causeway Street, 5th Floor. We are just steps outside of North Station, next door to the TD Garden. (Look for the brick building with the “TripAdvisor” sign). Once inside 226 Causeway St, go down the hallway to the elevators, and come on up! Paid parking is also available at the TD Garden and on Causeway street. Via MBTA: Take the Green line or Orange line to North Station.
